Session Types
Appointments are primarily available face-to-face; Telehealth and phone appointments are considered on a case-by-case basis with prior arrangement.
A standard therapeutic session is 50 minutes, and we agree on how often these need to be. For example, initially individuals may require more frequent appointments during the initial stages of therapy and then extend the time between sessions over time.
Please note that Wabi Sabi Psychology is a therapy service and does not provide an Assessment Service for ADHD and Autism.
What is a Neurodiversity Affirming Approach?
This approach highlights that Autism and ADHD are not disorders or something to be fixed, it’s just a different way of thinking, feeling, and interacting.
It emphasizes accommodating for ADHD and autism, rather than expecting conformity to neurotypical standards, fostering inclusivity and diverse thinking.
How can a psychologist help?
A psychologist can support individuals by offering tailored therapy, using evidence-based approaches to address functional and mental health challenges. By using scientific methods, they study the factors that influence the way people think, feel, behave, and learn.
They help build coping skills, improve self-awareness, and overcome challenges such as stress, anxiety, and depression. Psychologists also work to create strategies for navigating social situations, executive function difficulties, and enhancing overall well-being.
